I've been busy....it's the same stock excuse i used in those dozen or so diaries that i started and never kept up with in years past...."been too busy to write", and then i'd forget all about it...i suppose it's valid, because if you actually have a life, full of better things to do than write in a blank book, or type crapola onto a web page, then you're spending your time in a better fashion than you would be...at least that's my opinion, and frankly dear reader, i couldn't care less whether or not you agree....i changed jobs in february, finally making good on my threats to go over the wall at methodist.....i didn't plan on it, but i ended up quitting without notice on a friday, and starting the new gig the following monday......no, i don't think any less of myself for not giving notice, so don't even ask....they're scum, and deserve no consideration from me....
one really rosy aspect of bugging out of that place is the fact that i got to cash out the pension plan i had there....i never put a penny of my own into it, but over the nearly 8 years i was there, it built up to nearly 10k, and after taxed, i got a spiffy little check for about $7500.....woo, and probably hoo, y'all.....we saved a bit, and did a lot of pretty cool stuff with the bucks, and it was just alright....
a personal note: to debbie tankersley, who i know reads this once in a while....sorry i left without saying goodbye....you were the only person there at methodist that i actually considered a real friend, and i regret not saying toodles to you....hope the hubby and the rugrats are doing ok....keep fighting the good fight, but for God's sake, think about working somewhere else, will ya?.....clarian is never, ever going to treat you right....you deserve better......drop me a note at doug_rawlings@yahoo.com if you get time.......
