this is a word?.....just another sure sign that even in our society, where we have more time on our hands than anyone else on the planet, we're still in too big of a hurry to actually say complete words....it's not like no one has the time to say "web log".....are we lazy?.....are we very impatient?.....what's our deal?....there's an entire "sub-langauge" that's grown up with the internet (and rap music) that defies definition.....language is supposed to be about communication...even the slang components are meant to convey ideas and concepts....the trouble is that so much slang has flooded into the collective consciousness so rapidly, and from so many sources, that we're now faced with a langauge, a way of speaking, that is incomprehensible to most....anyone that thinks words like "biatch" and "shiznit" are going into the next webster's may be in for a rude surprise....i was a kid once...i too thought it was amusing to use words that my elders didn't get....but these words did not constitute my entire vocabulary....rant over////

a blog....why?....who cares what i think?....likely no one....just another thing to do; another way to use up some of that free time all the labour-saving devices have given me...another way to piss away my life....whatever.....

today is 120403.....Christmas season is now in full force, as last nite was the first real time we played Christmas music for the Gathering at church....did an all acoustic set, and it sounded good.....we were short an acoustic amp, so i used one of the extra roland keyboard amps, and it sounded amazing, at least with the ibanez 6.....having some "tone" issues with the 12 string, but i am hoping this will be resolved shortly with the addition of a second pickup and a balance control.....afterwords, Scott and I want to Mickey D's and got some supper....the McRib is back, but not as good as i remember.....

I'm still mad that I have to work on Christmas....glad I have a job and all, but still....have been really trying to find a better day gig, but the job market just sucks right now....either that, or it's me that sucks, and that's why no one will hire me.....i think i'll just continue too rely on my favourite quote from opus the penguin: "I prefer to blame congress".....

in the meantime, just gotta keep on keepin' on, keep on truckin', keep my feet on the ground, do more with less, tote that barge, lift that bale, supersize it, beam me up, scotty, keep my nose to grindstone, shoulder to the wheel........life's just a big joke....you either get it, or you don't.....
